In 2017, 220 cases of malicious damage to cable networks of special communication.

This was reported in the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine in response to an InternetUA request.

In the State Service for Communication, it was noted that in 2017 the number of intentional damage to special communication lines increased almost 2-fold, compared with 2016.

This year, employees of the State Service of Communications and the National Police of Ukraine in the field of damage to special communication networks were detained "more than 20 people and several vehicles".

InternetUA also asked the special communication employees to characterize the incident in Kiev on September 1 (then, we recall, in Svyatoshinsky district of the capital at the crime scene, intruders were detained for the theft of 130 meters of special communication cable). In the State Communications Committee, they evaded the question whether they consider this incident as a diversion:.

On the elimination of the damage to the cable line of special communication in Svyatoshinsky district, the State Communications Committee needed a week. Upon the theft of the cable line of the special communication, criminal proceedings were opened regarding the first part of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft).
