This year at the "Oscar" ceremony will be presented just three Ukrainian films - "Mezh", "Riven Chorny" and "Iniy".
More precisely, "Mezha" is a Ukrainian-Slovak painting, nominated from Slovakia for a prestigious film award, and from Lithuania it is "Ini" (co-products of Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, France).
In the tape "Ini", incidentally, starred Vanessa Parady. At the festival in Cannes, the premiere of the Lithuanian film "Ini" about volunteers who are carrying humanitarian aid to Ukraine, gathered a huge audience hall.

Let's note, the world premiere of "Mezhi" was held at the International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary, where the film received the prize for the best direction.
"From Slovakia to receive an Oscar award, the Ukrainian-Slovak film Mezh is nominated jointly! The film is partially funded from the state budget. Let me remind you that this movie this year already has one award of the prestigious film festival in Karlovy Vary - "For the best director's work"! "he noted.
Rosenko congratulated all those involved "on this unique event in the history of Ukrainian cinema" and stressed: the premiere of "Mezhi" and the rental in Ukrainian cinemas will take place in mid-November.
Recall, the 90th Oscar-2018 awards ceremony will be held on March 4 in Los Angeles.
From Ukraine for the award is presented the tape "Riven Chorny" directed by Valentin Vasyanovich.
She was chosen from eight tapes. In particular, among the nominees were "Alien Prayer" by Ahtem Seitablayev, "Chervoniy" by Zaza Buadze, "Zhiva" by Taras Khimich, "Vina Chimaera" by Maria and Anastasia Starozhitsky, "DzidzioContrabas" by Oleg Borshchevsky, "Mikita Kozhumyak" Manuk DePoyan, "Strymgolov" by Marina Stepanska.
The tape will compete in the category "Best film in a foreign language".
