Forward Chelsea denied that he agreed to play for Nigeria

Chelsea-based striker Tammy Abraham denied that he decided to play for the Nigerian national team at the adult level.

Forward Swansea Tammy Abraham, the rights to which belong to Chelsea, played for various England youth teams.

Nevertheless, the president of the Football Federation of Nigeria Amaya Pinnik said that the 19-year-old striker decided to represent the adult team of Nigeria.

The situation decided to clarify the very Abraham, who said that the information on the change of football citizenship is untrue.

"Contrary to media reports, I would like to clarify that I did not agree to change the national team," said Abraham.

"I can confirm that I met the president of the Football Federation of Nigeria after our match against Tottenham at Wembley, given that he is my father's friend".

"Nevertheless, any assumption that I decided to change the national team is not true".

"I informed the Football Association of England that I still remain available for a call to the England team".

In the current season, Abraham scored one goal in five Premier League matches for Swansea.
