During a lightning storm, the wind may increase. As reported by the State Service for Emergencies, referring to the Ukrgidromettsentr, today in the western regions there will be heavy rains in places, in the Carpathians - thunderstorms.

In connection with heavy rains, water level rises are expected within the channels: on September 21 on the rivers of Transcarpathia by 0.2-1.0 meters, on September 21-22 on the rivers of the Prut and Siret basins by 0.2-0.7 meters, and also on the rivers of the Syan and Dniester basins by 0.5-1.5 meters.

In severe rains, the formation of a significant local and prone runoff is possible, in the Carpathians, the threat of debris formation.

In the north of the country and in the Vinnitsa region, thunderstorms are expected, on the left bank - wind gusts will reach 15-20 meters per second, in the Odessa and Mykolaiv regions the wind squalls may reach 23 meters per second.

In the Kiev region on Thursday, there are also possible thunderstorms.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, because of heavy rains, gusts of wind and thunderstorms as of the morning of September 21, 2017 in eight regions of Ukraine de-energized 130 settlements.
