Surely, all women remember well their first visit to a gynecologist. As a rule, it happens due to either disease or pregnancy, but in any case, the vast majority of representatives of the weaker sex acquaintance with the gynecologist was not at all in childhood. Few women know that there is such a doctor - a children's gynecologist and that the first visit to him should take place long before the appearance of problems or difficulties in the genital area.

For the first time, the girl's genitals are examined immediately after birth, but the main purpose of such an examination is to determine the sex of the child. Subsequently, according to the decision of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, all girls must undergo two more examinations: before entering school, that is, at 6-7 years old, and at puberty, that is, at 10-12 years.

After that, according to statistics, the next meeting with a gynecologist is postponed until the appearance of any diseases or abnormalities. And after all, many problems with intimate health can be avoided if, from the age of 14, the girl is taught to visit the gynecologist once a year, independently or under the supervision of her parents. Before this age it is recommended to show the child to the specialist every two to three years to monitor the physiological development. It is important to remember that any girl is born with the same "set" of genitals as an adult woman. And this means that many diseases, congenital or acquired, can be identified already in early childhood. Physicians say that 15 to 25% of adolescent girls suffer from one or other gynecological pathologies: fibroids, cysts, menstrual irregularities, genital inflammation. The sooner you start treatment, the more likely that the reproductive function of a future adult woman will be able to save.

Adolescent girls have a strong prejudice against gynecologists, which is based on incorrect sex education. The fact that my mother did not explain her daughter in time, who is a gynecologist, why you need to visit him, leads to sad consequences - girls draw information from unreliable sources: little-informed friends, dubious literature, the Internet, rumors and so on. As a result, an unfounded fear of "terrible aunt" is formed in the child's mind, which causes the "victim" to climb onto the "terrible chair" and leads to a faint one kind of "terrible iron pieces". The child needs to be explained that in the examination there is nothing terrible that the doctor will not cause pain, will not force to climb on the chair and will not insert instruments inside. As a rule, the children's gynecologist examines the patient by the method of palpation: probes the tummy, checks the rectum. To help a mirror or a vaginoscope, he resorts only in the most extreme case, and even then uses special instruments that are much smaller than for adult ladies. This guarantees both the absence of painful sensations, and the preservation of the integrity of the hymen.
