The number of houses with the ability to connect gas for four years in the Sverdlovsk region should double. This was reported in the press service of the regional government.

"By 2021 the number of residential houses for which they will create a technical opportunity to connect to gas distribution networks should grow more than twofold. And our immediate task is not to delay, to put into operation all the completed gas pipelines, "Governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev said at today's meeting of the Sverdlovsk government.

Minister of Energy and Housing of the Sverdlovsk Region Nikolai Smirnov noted that the number of houses and apartments in the region using gas has increased by more than 41 thousand over several years and is 1105.1 thousand houses.

Gasification projects are now being implemented in 27 municipalities. By the end of 2017 it is planned to put into operation about 534 kilometers of networks. Among the major projects on gasification, scheduled for 2018 - the second phase of the inter-settlement gas pipeline "Pervomayskoye - Kamyshlov" and the second branch of the main gas pipeline "Rezh-Artemovsky".

The head of the region noted one more task in this direction: the financial accessibility of connection to gas. To do this, the region has expanded the list of citizens eligible for compensation for gasification costs. Among them are low-income families, single poor people in the region and pensioners.

It should be noted that for the last five years in the Sverdlovsk region, 5 billion rubles have been spent on gas supply, more than two of them have been allocated from the regional budget. Over the same time in the region over two and a half thousand kilometers of networks.
