After the presentation of the Face ID function, many users have questions - for example, whether the technology will work with all sunglasses and how to protect the smartphone when robbing on the street. To find out, one of the developers wrote to Craig Federigi himself - he already knows about Face ID more than the rest.

As Federigi said in his reply, Face ID will work with almost all sunglasses, reports MacRumors. As he said, the majority of such glasses pass an infra-red beam by means of which the technology also recognizes the person of the user, therefore problems with it should not be. Of course, there will be no exceptions, but in this case everything is learned in practice.

As for protection against thieves, everything is a little more interesting here. Firstly, if you do not look at the phone, it will not be unlocked. But there is also an alternative way - if you hold the buttons at the same time at the sides, when you transfer the iPhone, this will temporarily disable the Face ID, and you can only be authorized with the password.

Nevertheless, there are a lot of questions to Face ID - in particular, to the speed of unlocking the smartphone in this way. At the Apple presentation, you could notice that the face scanner is much slower than the fingerprint scanner. It remains to be hoped that in reality this will turn out differently.
