The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has made an official decision to hold the Summer Olympic Games in 2024 in Paris, and in 2028 - in Los Angeles.

This decision was made during the 131st IOC session in Peru.

Voting was of a formal importance, because Paris and Los Angeles were the only candidates for the Games and were approved in the status of hosts.

The agreement between the cities was agreed in August of this year. The American side, having received from the IOC a guarantee to host the Olympics-2028, lost to Paris Games-2024.

Paris essentially wanted to get the right to the Olympics-2024, which is scheduled for the 100th anniversary of the anniversary of the French capital hosting the Olympic Games for the second time and for the last time.

Note that Paris and Los Angeles will host the Games for the third time in history.
