In India, some providers completely blocked access to the social network "Vkontakte". They did so because of the threat to the lives of children.

In particular, we are talking about death groups and the game "Blue Whale", which came to India just through the Russian social network.

Now when trying to go into social network, some users see a message that the site is blocked by the decision of the authorities of the country.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Information Technologies Ajay Kumar, now officials are trying to figure out how many people use "VKontakte" for the game. He specified that the social network was blocked after meeting with Internet companies.

The exact number of incidents associated with the "Blue Whale" in India is unknown. NDTV reports an increase in their number, without naming specific figures. As the channel reports, in several regions the schoolchildren began to give lectures about the dangers of the game. Many Indian media have begun to publish detailed articles on the "Blue Whale" and create instructions for parents.

At the moment, we know about the suicide of a 14-year-old resident of Mumbai, which occurred in late August. On September 12 it was reported that it was possible to save a 17-year-old teenager who was depressed.
