Developer Rinat Khanov came up with a new way of measuring objects and distances using the ARKit platform. The development, called MeasureKit, is able to turn your iPhone or iPad into an ultimatum tool that can be useful in a variety of life situations from home repair to travel.

Unlike analogues, usually applying a measuring tape and requiring to keep the smartphone with ARKit strictly above the object, MeasureKit allows to build in space even three-dimensional images and in general makes the entire process incomparably easier. MeasureKit will be very useful when measuring furniture, "trying on" its dimensions on different parts of the room.

But this is not the end of the miracles. Using MeasureKit, you can measure a person's height and even long distances, as shown in the video. For this, it is not necessary to scan the entire motion path - it's enough just to activate the application, and special algorithms will do everything for you. You will only have to get the smartphone and evaluate the path.
