The court understands whether Zuckerberg is a benefactor or just a crafty sly trying to limit the control of shareholders over the company.

Chief Executive Officer of Facebook Inc. Mark Zuckerberg summoned to court to testify in the case against shareholders on the right to vote, reports Bloomberg referring to informed sources.

The trial, which begins on September 26, should find out whether the board of directors had its interest by approving new shares that do not give the right to vote. Zuckerberg asked the leadership to accept these changes, as he intends to give away the bulk of his capital to charitable organizations - and to do this through securities.

But shareholders saw this conflict as a conflict of interest, because this step allows Zuckerberg to retain control over Facebook, even if he sells shares.

"Facebook is confident that the special committee carefully and fairly considered the proposal put forward in the interests of Facebook and its shareholders," - said in a statement on Friday.

This will be the second lawsuit against Zuckerberg this year. The Facebook founder was already held accountable for using stolen computer code for the Oculus virtual reality headset. Zuckerberg claimed that the charges were false. However, Facebook lost, and the jury awarded 500 million dollars to the plaintiff ZeniMax Media Inc.
