The Brazilian scientists have found out, in what cases the sexual certificate carries a high risk of fracture of the male sexual organ. According to the findings of experts from the University of Rio de Janeiro, most of the patients were injured by the genitals at the knee-elbow posture during passionate sex. The article is published in the journal International Journal of Impotence Research. Scientists examined 90 patients aged 18 to 66 years who were diagnosed with a fracture of the genital organ. The researchers found out the circumstances in which the trauma occurred. It turned out that in 69 cases the lesions were obtained precisely during sexual activity. 10 percent of the fractures occurred with the position "woman on top", 25.5 percent in the missionary position, and 41 percent in the knee-elbow position. When the genital organ fractures, there is a rupture of the gallbladder shell, which covers the cavernous bodies filled with blood upon excitation. Damage to the genitals often occurs during an erection, which causes hemorrhage and the formation of hematomas. Trauma requires urgent medical attention, delay can cause complications in the form of erectile dysfunction, curvature or constant pain during sexual intercourse.
