An exhibition of weapons may return to the Sverdlovsk Region. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin at the festival "UralTank" in Nizhny Tagil September 9, 2017. The official noted that this decision was influenced by the active position of the region's leadership and personally by Evgeny Kuyvashev.

"I remember your pain, you can not call it another way, and attempts to stop the decision that Russia Arms Expo left Nizhny Tagil. Then, probably, it was not possible to organize the correct support of this position. But now one thing is obvious: after all, Russia does not come down to Moscow. Park "Patriot" has become a well-deserved and authoritative place for carrying out insertions not only of the armed forces, but, first of all, of the military-industrial complex of Russia. And the Russia Arms Expo itself was very broad: it concerned not only the subjects of the Sverdlovsk region and the military-industrial Urals, it went beyond and with a claim to the All-Russian exhibition. In fact, something else must be done here, "said Dmitry Rogozin.

According to the vice-premier, every year at the "Staratel" training ground, not only a spectacular and spectacular event with a display of the combat capabilities of armored vehicles produced by Uralvagonzavod. In a new format, the arms exhibition must rely on the products of the military-industrial complex of the Urals. Also the exhibition should be accompanied by a conference with the participation of experts and experts of Russian and international level. Rogozin said he was ready to invite colleagues from CSTO countries to the event. In his opinion, the demonstration of optical systems, unmanned systems, equipment capable of operating in difficult arctic conditions, will cause great interest of specialists.

Yevgeny Kuyvashev declared full readiness of the regional authorities to work on organizing such an event.

Recall, the decision to postpone the exhibition of weapons from Nizhny Tagil in the suburbs was announced last week by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov. Since 2017 RAE will be held in Kubinka. The exhibition will be held simultaneously with the exhibition "Army", however under the native brand. This is done to optimize financial costs, as well as for the convenience of logistics. Evgeny Kuyvashev has already stated that the postponement of the exhibition will be an incentive for the emergence of new breakthrough projects.
