Evgeny Kuyvashev set up an interdepartmental working group to work out approaches to formulate a program for the development of the digital economy in the Sverdlovsk region. According to the order of the head of the region, the working group included members of the regional government and legislators, heads of telecommunications, IT companies, enterprises producing high-tech products, as well as representatives of the scientific community.

Recall that on behalf of Vladimir Putin, the Russian government approved in late July a federal program "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation". Digitalization, according to the President of Russia, will radically change the format of health care, education, public administration, communication between people and set a new paradigm for the development of the state, economy and society.

"The digital economy for our region is not only a necessary condition for the transition to a new technological way, an opportunity, as the President of Russia has said, to catch the technological wave and keep the position in the competitive struggle. In August, the head of the Middle Urals decided to create in the government structure of the Department of Informatization and Communications of the Sverdlovsk region, which will, among other things, ensure the active inclusion of the region in the work initiated by the President of the Russian Federation on digitalization.

The head of the Ministry of Communications of the Russian Federation Nikolay Nikiforov during a recent working visit to the Sverdlovsk region highly assessed the IT infrastructure of the region.
