Arrears in payment of wages in June amounted to two billion 391.3 million hryvnia. Thus, in July the debt decreased by 0.6% or UAH 14.1 million.
Such data on Friday morning, September 8, was published by the State Statistical Service. At the same time, according to the ministry, the debt of economically active enterprises amounts to 1 billion 312 million hryvnia, which makes 55.2% of the total amount of debt.
The bulk of the total debt is accounted for by industry - 78.9%. The largest debt, and this is more than half of the total debt, was formed in Lugansk, Donetsk and Kharkov regions - 534 million 994 thousand hryvnia or 22.5%, 497 million 429 thousand hryvnia or 20.9% and 257 million 390 thousand hryvnia or 10 , 8% respectively.
At the same time, the growth of arrears on wages in the past month was recorded in Ternopil - by 50.1%, Ivano-Frankivsk - by 9.2%, Donetsk - by 8.2%, Volyn - by 4.9%, Zaporizhia - by 4 , 2%, Kharkiv - 3.7%, Rivne - 3% and Lugansk - 2%. At the same time, wage arrears in July declined in the Cherkassy region by 36.5%, Kirovograd - by 10.5%, Dnepropetrovsk - by 9.8%, Kherson - by 9.1%, Sumy - by 7.5%, Chernivtsi - 5.5%, Transcarpathian - 4.6%, Khmelnitsky - 3%, and the city of Kiev - 2.9%.
In July, arrears in the payment of wages increased by 51% in the sphere of art, sports and entertainment and amounted to 1.7 million hryvnia, education - by 35.6% - to 8.3 million hryvnia, public health - by 10.7% - to 14.5 million hryvnia, financial and insurance activity - by 3.2% - up to 18.3 million hryvnia, information and telecommunications - by 2.2% - to 4.9 million hryvnia, construction - by 1.9% - to 85 million hryvnia and in industry - by 1% - to 1.83 billion hryvnia.
The State Statistics Service also recalls that the data are given without taking into account the temporarily occupied territory of the Crimea, the city of Sevastopol and part of the zone of the antiterrorist operation.
Recall, as reported URA-Inform, Vladimir Groisman promised in 2018 to increase the salary of Ukrainian teachers to 1500 hryvnia.
