Representatives of clubs of the English Premier League decided to close the next summer transfer window before the start of the season-2018/2019.

In the summer of 2018, the transfer window for the Premier League will close on Thursday before the first match of the championship of the elite English division - this decision was taken at a meeting of representatives of all 20 clubs of the league.

At the same time until August 31, Premier League members will be able to sell their players to other leagues, in which the transfer window will remain open. A similar change in the transfer rules is discussed in the lower leagues of English football, but the decision has not been made yet. Also remain unchanged the timing of the winter transfer window.

As reported by Sky Sports, the decision to earlier close the summer transfer window was not unanimous, but was adopted by a majority vote.
