September 8 at 17-00 in the Art Lounge of the Odessa Linguistic Center will be the opening of the exhibition of Elena Zublevich.
Elena Zublevich - artist, photographer and musician originally from Lviv. Since 2012 he lives in Odessa. Master of Arts and Graphics Faculty. Ushinsky.
The study of the theory of color, creative search and fascination with ancient mythology led to the emergence of a series of works united by the theme of inner reflection and the active use of deep blue.
The symbolism of blue is rich and multifaceted. The color of the sea, the color of the sky in most cultures directly points to the spiritual aspect of being. The depths of the human soul, the silence, the transparency, the foreknowledge of the primordial and final emptiness - all this is colored by a spectral wave of 450 nanometers.
From the point of view of the archetype, the blue color embodies the feminine. The first female deity in pre-Christian mythology, the Sumerian Tiamat, breathed life into the primordial chaos and spawned the first living creatures from the waters of the world ocean. Since then, water is identified with life-giving female power.
The well-known color theorist Vasily Kandinsky spoke of him as the color of the greatest depth: "The tendency of blue to deepen is so great that it becomes intense precisely in darker colors and is more intrinsically more characteristic. The darker the blue, the more he calls the person into the infinite, awakens in him the longing for the pure and, ultimately, the supersensible ".
Elena's paintings - about the depth and silence, about what the woman feels, left alone with herself. She can admire the rapidly fading bouquet of flowers; Try to save your beloved but dying aloe bush; pour yourself a wine and remember who is dear to her; in crumpled insomniacs, to wash one after another old dreams and dreams.
Technically, the works are executed in an expressive manner with elements of symbolism, the influence of impressionism is palpable. As the search and development of his own style, the author tries to move away from the rigor and mentality of university academicism - at the same time, without rejecting the school passed and the findings. Among her favorite artists Elena points to Paul Cezanne, Henri Matisse, Vincent van Gogh.
The walls and furniture in the artist's room, where she creates her paintings, are also painted in a deep ultramarine shade. We invite viewers to go to this amazing Blue Room and together enjoy the elusive beauty of the world - such as it was recorded by Elena Zublevich.
