The UN reports that the country is very close to starting systematic ethnic cleansing that can plunge the state into a protracted and bloody conflict.

Head of the United Nations Antoniu Guterres appealed to the authorities of Myanmar with a request to stop the persecution of Rohinj and determine their status at the level of law.

Myanmar State Councilor Aung San Suu Kyi accused the representatives of Rohinj in disseminating false information about the details and extent of the conflict.

The UN confirmed that all camps are overcrowded, and Bangladesh will not be able to host a huge number of representatives of this group.

As reported in URA-Inform, 73,000 representatives of the Muslim religious group were forced to leave Myanmar.
