Before closing the transfer window on August 31, Lester sent to FIFA documents on the transition to the "fox" midfielder Sporting, which ex-champions of England purchased for 24 million euros. However, they delayed the deadline for 14 (!) Seconds, than gave the occasion for the International Football Federation to refuse registration.

According to the BBC, Lester did not accept the situation in which Silva is the property of the club, but can not play in the team until January, and intends to appeal.

Meanwhile, the president of Sporting Bruno de Carvalho rejected the possibility of termination of the deal and the return of Adrien to Lisbon: "The transfer of Adrien Silva to Leicester took place. Now all the issues the English club has to decide. I hope he will succeed ".

Apparently, Lester was late with the registration of Silva, because in parallel in the same last second of the transfer market was intensively engaged in the transition to Chelsea Danny Drikwatera (38 million euros).
