In particular, a representative of the defense department of Moldova in late August informed the President about the participation in the international exercise of 57 Moldovan military.
At the same time, he noted that the Moldovan military has been participating in these exercises since 1996.
In turn, Dodon said that he did not allow the Moldovan military to participate in international exercises. Moreover, he even ordered to cancel all preparations for the exercises, and the organizers of Rapid Trident were informed that the National Army of Moldova would not take part in the events.
