The Russians installed a railway arch over the Kerch Strait, which is practically the last and most important stage for connecting the mainland of Russia with the Kerch bridge temporarily occupied by the Crimea.

This is stated in the article "The Russian bridge to the Crimea is close to the end" of Sean Walker on the site of the newspaper The Guardian, TSN reports..

It is noted that the structure was installed at an altitude of 35 meters above sea level, hundreds of workers were involved in the process.

The bridge, which will be 12 miles (19.3 km) in length, should be open to traffic in 2018, and for rail traffic in 2019.

The railway arch forms a section with a length of more than 200 m, and it is high enough to allow ships to pass under it. A similar arch for the section of traffic will be installed in October.

As previously reported, the blocking of the Kerch Strait after the installation of the railway arch of the bridge will create an obstacle for the passage of Ukrainian ships, which will affect the economic condition of the ports.
