The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country will demand the prompt consideration of the UN of the question of the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from Moldova. This was on Wednesday, August 30, during a meeting with the Russian ambassador to Moldova, Farit Mukhametshin, the head of the Moldovan diplomatic department, Andrey Galbur.

According to DW, the minister stressed that "this initiative is not aimed at the withdrawal of the Russian military, included in the trilateral peacekeeping forces operating in the Transnistrian security zone".

Recall, as reported by URA-Inform, Moldova appealed to the United Nations with a request to withdraw Russian troops from Transnistria.
