The UN Security Council at an emergency meeting condemned Pyongyang's launch of a ballistic missile that flew across Japan, and demanded that such actions be stopped immediately. In DPRK they answered that this is only the beginning.

"The test launch of a ballistic missile, which was close to reality, was the first military-tactical step of our army in the Pacific," Kim Jong-un commented on the eve of the test that caused turmoil all over the world. According to Ryonhap, the North Korean leader was personally present at the start of the Hwaseon-12 on Tuesday and afterwards gave an order to increase the strike force of the missiles, the range for which will be the Pacific Ocean. Kim Jong-un warned that he will closely monitor all actions and statements of the United States. He pointed out that the course chosen on Tuesday was "a prelude to Guam".

The United States ignored these statements. At the meeting of the UN Security Council, American Permanent Representative Nikki Haley noted that Pyongyang is driving itself into a dangerous situation and that the whole world is already united against the North Korean regime. Her thought was supported by Seoul and Tokyo. According to the publication "Nikkei", three countries consider it necessary to strengthen the sanctions policy against the DPRK, in particular, to prohibit the supply of oil to it.

On a different approach to solving the problem insists Moscow. As the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasily Nebenzia stressed, the North Korean missile and nuclear program should be immediately and unconditionally stopped, as the tests pose a threat to air traffic, navigation in the region and the lives of civilians. It is necessary to hitch diplomatic ways out of the crisis, for this, first of all, it is required to remove the factors of additional tension in the region and to lift unilateral sanctions against the DPRK, in addition to the UN Security Council resolutions.

A similar position was taken by China. Having called on the DPRK to comply with the requirements of the Security Council, the Permanent Representative of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations, Liu Jiei, pointed out to colleagues that without creating the necessary conditions for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula,. For example, the matter is seriously complicated by the US missile defense complexes THAAD, which Washington is deploying heavily in South-East Asia and which undermine the security of not only the DPRK, but also China itself. It is necessary to restrain from provocations, which exacerbate an already complicated situation, called upon Liu Jiei.
