One of the two most overall constructions of the object weighing 6 thousand tons was raised to the fairway supports, to a height of 35 meters from sea level. The process of lifting the arch took about 12 hours, according to the website "Says Moscow".

In the coming month, builders will mount the end elements, as well as conduct a disassembly, that is, they will be lowered to special support parts.

The sea operation to transport the railway arch passage from the technological platform in the east of Crimea to the channel began on the morning of August 27.

As previously reported, the Russian Federation completely blocked shipping through the Kerch Strait from August 28 to 31, 2017 due to the construction of the bridge.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine stated that Russia's introduction of shipping restrictions through the Kerch Canal in connection with the construction of the bridge leads to losses of Ukrainian ports and will be challenged in court.
