On August 24 and 25, an international first category cycling tournament took place in the Czech Republic on the track "Otmar Malecek's Memorial".
In the sprint, the current World Cup holder - Kharkiv Andrei Vinokurov - successfully reached the finals, but lost to Russian Alexander Dubchenko in the fight for the "gold" tournament and took second place. Bronze winner was Theo Boss from the Netherlands.
In another discipline - keyrin, Kharkiv also reached the finals, but on his results he took the fifth place.
A successful performance at the Czech tournament allowed Andrei Vinokurov to lead the UCI World Ranking in the men's sprint. Now he has 2795 points, which is 370 more than the nearest pursuer - Russian rider Pavel Yakushevsky.
In the rating of the male keirin, Vinokurov takes second place, having an asset of 2820 points. The leader is Tomasz Babek from the Czech Republic (3230 points).
