This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgar Rinkevich.

According to the minister, the country should expect "unintentional" violations of the state airspace. It is necessary to conduct an instruction with the border services about possible "accidental incidents".

The Minister noted that such actions in the course of the exercise are conditioned by the fact that in the territory of Latvia there are several NATO military bases.

Rinkevich assures that there is no need to fear open attack, but still the defense of the country's borders will be strengthened. The minister does not exclude that Russia will try to "feel" the defense capability of Latvia.
