According to the established tradition, an embroidered chain lined up from the Duke monument to the sea port. True, it was not possible to beat last year's record, notes Duma.
In the chain counted only 2464 participants (last year they were almost a thousand more - 3351).
Despite the failure with a record, the event was dynamic and with a good mood of the participants. On Duke, as planned, they donned embroidery in Odessa style - depicting anchors and ship's steering wheels. The live chain stretched to the very end of the sea terminal, after which it made a circle and turned back. Periodically, it tore, but it was quickly restored.
The warmest atmosphere was formed in the underground passage through Primorskaya street. There, an elderly woman from Odessa performed different motifs on the accordion, in particular, Ukrainian folk songs and songs of Utyosov. It was actively sung by the people standing in the chain, so from the transition constantly came a fairly harmonious choral singing.
Participants of the embroidered chain were Odessa citizens and guests of the city of different ages. For example, one young participant specially arrived with her parents from Israel.
