Unknown in Odessa on the eve of Independence Day of Ukraine broke the bust of Marshal Georgy Zhukov.

This was reported on his Facebook page by the leader of the Odessa "Right Sector" Sergei Sternenko.

"Unknown patriots in Odessa have perfectly celebrated the Independence Day," reads the message.

The published photos show that the unknown people threw off the bust in the pedestal. The sculpture itself was seriously damaged. The incident occurred on the night of August 23.

Arriving at the scene of the incident, police officers tried to take out the sculpture in the trunk of an office car.

As previously reported, on the Day of the National Flag of Ukraine, unknown patriots pasted pro-Ukrainian leaflets in the occupied cities of Donbass, which remind of the state belonging to the region and congratulate local residents on the holiday.
