At the moment, firefighters are already working on the site, but the technology can not reach the hearth due to the difficult terrain. As reported by Imedi TV, referring to the words of the head of the Borjomi municipality, Dmitry Kipiani, a forest is burning near the village of Daba in Borjomi Gorge.

Local rescuers have already connected to the quenching helicopter, which began work and made several flights.

According to him, the fire covered the territory of about one hectare and because of the heat and strong winds it spreads quickly, however, to the village about two kilometers and there is no need to evacuate people yet. Kipiani also explained that the village of Daba is surrounded by coniferous forests and is located near the resort town of Tsagveri where on July 26 there was also a major fire. Then the fire covered about six hectares of forest.
