Menopause in Slavic women most often occurs at the age of 48-52 years. However, recently there has been an unhealthy trend associated with the cessation of menstruation in younger women 35-40 years. With what is this connected and can we somehow move the offensive of the early menopause?.

What is a climacterium?.

In Greek, the word "climax" means "step". Hence, menopause is a transition of a woman from one state (childbearing) to another (the state of rest of the reproductive system). Under the influence of age-related changes, the ovaries gradually stop responding to the hormones produced by the pituitary gland. As a result, the level of estrogen and progesterone decreases markedly, and gonadotropic hormones increase.

Under the influence of this restructuring the menstrual cycle of a woman becomes unstable, and with time, menstruation ceases altogether. The ovaries and uterus decrease in size, the mucous membranes become thinner, which causes the dryness of the vagina and, consequently, pain during intercourse. Moreover, all these changes can not but affect the bladder, which also belongs to the organs of the genitourinary system. Thus, during menopause, this organ often loses its elasticity and muscle tone, as a result, such an inconvenience as the incontinence of urine can develop. In this case, women complain of excessive sweating, hot flashes, irritability, depressive condition, heart problems, insomnia and frequent headaches. In other words, menopause is a hormonal alteration of the body, aimed at the gradual fading of a woman's ability to fertilize health. Sumy. Ua.
