Sverdlovsk Regional Court invalidated the decision of the Duma of Bogdanovich on July 6, 2017 on the early resignation of the mayor of the municipality Vladimir Moskvin.

The plaintiff - the mayor Moskvin - referred to the fact that, in taking this decision, the Duma violated the order. In the statutory period, the mayor presented his veto on this decision, but his deputies ignored him and even managed to choose according to the new regulations of another head of the district.

In court, the representative of the Duma said that, in the opinion of the people's representatives, Moskvin violated the procedure for filing a refusal to sign the document. The decision was made on July 6, and the county governor had 10 days to express his attitude to the document. However, the veto was sent only on July 17.

The prosecutor, in his conclusion, said that the time had not been violated, because according to the law, if the deadline for submission of documents falls on a Sunday, the person is given one more day to provide them.

After hearing all the arguments of the parties, the court declared invalid the decision of the city council of the town of Bogdanovich.

The decision has not entered into force. The parties have a month to appeal to the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
