In France, a car rammed a pizzeria

At 65 km east of Paris, the silver-colored "BMW" crashed into the cafe at full speed. As a result, a teenage girl was killed, 13 people were injured. This was reported by the official representative of the French Ministry of the Interior Pierre-Henri Brande.

This happened "at nine o'clock in the evening" (after 22:00 Moscow time) on Monday, August 14, in the commune of Saint-Sor department of the Seine and the Marne. Five of the victims are in serious condition, told Brande on the air of BFM TV.

The man in the car drove into the window of a local pizzeria, where people were eating. He sent the car towards the cafe, according to the investigation, consciously, with the version of the terrorist act practically excluded.

At the scene, no traces of inhibition were detected. The driver was detained and placed in custody, he did not attempt to escape.

According to the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of France, the culprit of the PE - a man of 32 years - was "unknown to the services of justice, police and intelligence". At the same time, the police know that last week he attempted suicide.

An investigation is being carried out, during which the motives for the act of the detainee. The version of the terrorist attack is not completely rejected, "but it is definitely not a priority," said Brande.

No weapons or dangerous device in his car found. The police cordoned off the scene of the incident. Representatives of the local gendarmerie asked the residents not to interfere with the events at the scene and not to break the perimeter of the cordon.
