As a result of the collision of cars Volkswagen Passat, BMW and Renault Laguna injured eight people. As the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police of the Khmelnytsky region informs, the incident occurred on the Prospect Mira near the TV tower there was a triple road accident.

According to preliminary data, the 37-year-old driver of Volkswagen Passat was in a state of alcoholic intoxication. He drove to the oncoming lane and slammed into BMW. After that, Volkswagen drove into a taxi Renault Laguna, whose driver as a result received a fracture of the left leg and polytrauma.

Injuries were also received by six taxi passengers. Among the injured were four children. Doctors diagnosed three girls with polytrauma, bruises. Another child received a closed craniocerebral injury and a hip fracture. Six-year-old boy received polytrauma and transverse fracture of skull.

Two adults who were in the car with children were also hospitalized.

The police opened a criminal case on the fact of the incident in accordance with the article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine Violation of the rules of road safety or the operation of transport by persons who drive vehicles. The driver-culprit road accident faces up to three years in prison.

Recall, as reported УРА-Информ, on Sunday late in the evening, on August, 13th, on Prykarpattya there was a collision of two cars. As a result of the accident, six people were injured. Among the injured there is a six-year-old child.
