This was announced by the head of the Consular Support Department of the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vasily Kirilich.

According to him, at the moment, all kinds of contact with a lawyer and Spanish law enforcers in the case of Ukrainian sailors.

It is known that the detainees were provided with a lawyer, as well as with a Russian-speaking translator.

At the same time, the consul found out that there had been no complaints about conditions of detention and sanitary and hygienic conditions from Ukrainian seamen. Also, despite being in the remand prison, there is an opportunity for violators of order to communicate with relatives in Ukraine.

According to preliminary information, the case will be referred to the Madrid Court of First Instance.
