Izvestia informs that in Russia they can introduce mandatory photo and video registration of vehicle inspection. The newspaper specifies that the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade is already preparing appropriate amendments to the law on vehicle inspection, in force since 2011.

The department explained that the reason was the increased incidence of registration of policies OSAGO without checking the machine.

It is noted that if the amendments are adopted, the inspection procedure will be fixed by photo and video cameras, and the picture will record the number of the car, as well as the time and place of its verification. It is assumed that this will be a guarantee that the car has passed the inspection according to all rules.

Now inspection is conducted by organizations accredited by the Russian Union of Motor Insurers. He also monitors their activities and checks for compliance with accreditation requirements.

In total in our country there are 4161 operators and 4689 points of technical inspection, where you can get the necessary document.

The media previously reported that the Ministry of Industry and Trade intends to prepare a separate inspection procedure for cars with electric or hybrid engines.

Recall that in July this year, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on changing the Rules of the road. In particular, the amendments introduce for the first time such terms as "electric car" and "hybrid car", as well as the corresponding road signs and markings.
