At the beginning of summer, Barkley, whose contract expires a year later, refused to renew the agreement, declaring the desire to leave the camp "toffee".

Later, the head coach Ronald Kuman confirmed the intention of the club to sell the 23-year-old player in the current offseason, in order to prevent his free departure from the club at the end of next season.

Nevertheless, as it turned out, those wishing to acquire Ross did not start to line up.

"At the moment, Barkli does not have any proposals - it means that he will stay in Everton," said Cooman.

"The player has another year on the contract, and no one has expressed a desire to acquire it. Perhaps, in the case of the proposal, the club will not accept it, since Ross is a good and young English footballer ".

"If the proposal does not arrive - it will remain part of our team," - summed up the Dutch specialist.

Last season, Barkley recorded on his account 5 goals and 10 assists in 36 mats.

According to rumors, among the contenders for Ross appear Tottenham and Chelsea.
