In the scientific world, the ancestors of the first founders of European civilizations were identified. In the course of the experiment, the DNA of three thousand modern and ancient people was taken into account. It is believed that the first civilization of Europe was the Minoan race, which arose in the 3rd millennium BC in Crete, reports sundaynews The question of the origin of representatives of both civilizations has been discussed since the beginning of the twentieth century. The most famous version is that the founders of the Minoan race came to Crete from the east - from Anatolia.

Thus, an international group of scientists studied the DNA of 19 people who lived during the Bronze Age in Crete, in the mainland Greece and off the coast of the Aegean Sea. 10 of them were Minoans, four Mykene, and three lived in the south-west of Anatolia (modern territory of Turkey).
