Senator John McCain said that President Donald Trump must be more careful to threaten North Korea if he is not ready to act. He said this on the radio of KTAR.
"I object to the president's comment because you have to be sure that you can do what you say is going to do," McCain said..
The senator says that he would prefer if Trump took the example from the former president of Roosevelt - it's softer, but to have a big club in his hands.
"The great leaders that I saw do not threaten until they are ready to act and I'm not sure that Trump is ready," McCain said..
At the same time, the senator believes that "the ruler of the DPRK is insane," but is not ready to "go to the edge of the abyss".
Previously, Trump said that the DPRK will "meet with fire and fury" if it threatens the United States. A few hours later, North Korea reported that it is studying plans to strike a missile strike at US military sites on the American island of Guam in the Pacific Ocean.
