Now 80% of Manchester United belong to the Americans - the Glazer family. The club is estimated at 2.2 billion pounds.

According to The Times, an unnamed Chinese investor, presumably a billionaire, contacted some of the holders of the remaining 20% ??of the shares of the "red devils" to inquire about the possibility of their purchase.

So far, the conversations are informal, but the publication assures that it is only a matter of time when about 8% of the shares will be changed by the owners.

In 2005, Malcolm Glazer acquired MJ for 790 million pounds. After the death of Malcolm, his six sons - Joel, Avram, Bryan, Edward, Kevin and Darcy, sold some shares, leaving 80%.

It is assumed that there is a difference between the brothers in what to do with the club: Joel, Avram and Bryan want to keep it, and the rest are thinking about selling.
