This was reported by Deputy Head of the NBU Dmitry Sologub. 
According to him, a favorable situation in the foreign exchange market allowed the NBU from the beginning of the year to buy 1.4 billion dollars. 
"Currently, international reserves are about 18 billion dollars," - said Sologub. 
He also noted that the dollar depreciates relative to world currencies in international markets. 
As a result, the international reserves of the National Bank in June increased by 2% to 17.97 billion dollars in comparison with May.
