Media: Prosecutor General's Office closed the case against Pashinsky for shooting near Kiev

The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine closed the case against the people's deputy from the "Popular Front", the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense Sergei Pashinsky.

This is stated in the decree of the investigator of the GPU, a copy of which is available to RBC-Ukraine.

The publication notes that it is a criminal case on the shooting near Kiev last winter, when Pashinsky shot a pistol in the leg in the foot of a resident of one of the villages of Vasylkivsky district Vyacheslav Khimikus.

The GPU came to the conclusion that Pashinsky acted within the necessary defense, which excludes his criminal liability. The actions of the second participant in the events of Khimikus are recognized as "socially dangerous". At the same time, the investigation found that there was no criminal offense in Khimikus's actions. Art.. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism), but there may be a composition of administrative violations in the form of foul language.
