For the first half of the year violators of traffic rules in Odessa paid 3 million hryvnias of fines to the state budget.

This was reported in the press service of the Kiev Court of Odessa, summing up the examination of cases under Art.. 130. KUoAP (driving in a state of alcoholic, narcotic intoxication) from January 1 to June 30, 2017.

During this time, the court passed 282 decisions on depriving citizens of their driving license.

We note that since July 2016 in Ukraine, the punishment for drunk driving has been toughened, raising the fine to 10 thousand. 200 hryvnia, depriving the driver of the rights for one year. However, meanwhile, stress in court, the new rules did not affect the number of cases of illegal driving.
