The initial 18-month disqualification of Joey Barton was reduced by five months, the official website of the FA.
In April, it became known that over the past ten years, the midfielder made more than 1,200 bets, including matches with his own teams, for which the Football Association of England removed 34-year-old Barton from football activities for 18 months, and also fined 30 Thousand pounds.
The Englishman appealed this decision, and after reviewing it, the FA decided that Barton would be allowed to return to the field not on June 1, 2018, but on October 25, 2018.
At the moment, Barton is in the status of a free agent.
