Burnley completed the signing of defender Phil Bardsley of Stoke City, the official website of "burgundy".

The 32-year-old Scotsman signed a two-year contract with the new club, and the amount of the transfer, according to the media, was 1.7 million euros.

Bardsley has already played for Burnley on a short-term lease in 2006, having played six games on Ter Moore.

The pupil of Manchester United became the fourth rookie of the team of Sean Dajch this summer after defender Charley Taylor from Leeds, midfielder Jack Cork of Swansea and striker John Walters from Stoke City.

Last season, Bardsley played for Stoke 16 matches in the right-back, where he scored one goal and received four yellow cards, and was once removed from the field.
