Edmar signed a contract with the newly established club Metalist 1925. This is reported by the official site of Kharkiv.

The 37-year-old has already been declared in the PFL for participation in the matches of the Ukrainian championship among the teams of the Second League. Edmar will perform under the 80th number.

Edmar began his career in Brazil, and in 2003 moved to Simferopol Tavria. For four seasons in the Simferopol team had more than a hundred fights in the championships of Ukraine.

In August 2007 he became a player of the Kharkov Metalist. For eight seasons as a part of Kharkov has played 250 matches in all tournaments and was noted by 29 goals. In the summer of 2015 he moved to the Dnieper, which consisted of 11 matches and scored one goal.

Recently defended the colors of the amateur Boca Raton from the USA.

In March 2011, Edmar took Ukrainian citizenship, and in August - made his debut as a member of the Ukrainian national team. In all for the blue-yellow, he spent 15 bouts.
