Researchers have created a drug that helps fight the senile decline of muscle and muscle mass. To do this, they combined protein, creatine, vitamin D, calcium and fish oil, writes Haytek with reference to EurekAlert!.

Scientists have collected two groups of men aged 70 years and over. One group for six weeks took a protein-based nutritional supplement containing several ingredients, including creatine, vitamin D, calcium and fish oil, while the other group took a placebo. The goal was to assess whether the daily intake of supplementation would restore muscle strength and weight gain.

After these six weeks, both groups continued to take the supplement and placebo, but they were supplemented by physical training. And, according to Kirsten Bell, a graduate student who worked on the study, the results were impressive.

During the first six weeks, those who took the supplement gained 700 grams of body weight - this is the same amount of muscle mass that older men lose during the year. And in combination with this training gave them a greater increase in strength than those who took placebo.

Modern scientists are puzzled by the creation of a "pill from old age". They are convinced that aging is an engineering problem that can be eliminated.
