From September 1 this amount will be increased by UAH 190. Thus, now people's deputies will receive UAH 650 per day.

This is stated in the decision of the parliamentary committee on the regulation and organization of the work of Parliament. According to a message on July 14, the committee considered the letters of the acting head of the apparatus of the Rada, Peter Bodnar, and found out that the compensation for the rent is based on the cost of a single-room hotel in Kyiv at a rate of 460 hryvnia per day. At the same time, this amount was relevant more than three years ago, and now, according to the calculations of the Rada, the average cost of the room is about 650 hryvnia per day, as communal tariffs have increased, and the minimum wage has also changed.

As a result, the regulatory committee agreed with the proposal of the parliament's staff to increase the amount of compensation to deputies for renting housing from 460 to 650 hryvnia per day.

In addition, the committee allowed the apparatus to establish from July 3 the amount of expenses for providing travel of assistant consultants to deputies in the amount of 400 hryvnia per month.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, during the sixth session of the eighth convocation from February to July 2017, only 45 people's deputies attended all sessions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. 153 deputies attended 90-99% of the meetings.
