The largest banks of Russia left the Association of Russian Banks (ARB). The reason is disagreement with the policy of the president of the financial union Garegin Tosunyan.

Due to disagreements with the authorities, the Association was left by Sberbank, VTB, VTB 24, GPB, RSHB, Alfa-Bank, FC Otkrytie and Binbank. According to credit and financial organizations, the effectiveness of the work of such a union has fallen dramatically, we need to look for an alternative.

According to bankers, the policy of the ARB deprives its major players of active participation in its management. Like, the association is included in too many non-banking credit organizations, because of which the existing union lost the status of a banking association.

In addition, the "Big Eight" accused Tosunyan of not taking into account the decisions of his allies, doing everything independently. Recently, it has reached the point that all decisions were taken without consulting.

At the same time, Tosunyan himself stated that the withdrawal of the main players from the association, although painful, will not affect the work of the union anyway.
