And Jose Mourinho does not rule out that his club will offer the 35-year-old Swede a new short-term agreement as soon as he is ready to re-enter the field.

"If he is ready to stay and wait until December - and before that time he still will not be able to enter the field - then why not? Now we are communicating and exchanging ideas," said Mourinho.
