The Senate of the United States of America plans to hear the testimony of former head of the election campaign of Donald Trump Paul Manafort on his work in Ukraine and a meeting with a Russian lawyer. It is reported by The Hill.

"The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee said on Wednesday that he plans to call Paul Manafort, ex-president of Trump's campaign, to testify. Senator Chuck Gresli plans to call Manafort, if necessary, to ask him about compliance with the Foreign Agent Registration Act, "the message says..

According Gresli, he wants to call Manafort at the hearing, to ask not only about his registration, but also about other activities. He noted that members of the committee are also interested in the details of his participation in the meeting of Donald Trump Jr. with the Russian lawyer during last year's presidential campaign in the United States.

So, last month it became known that Manafort registered as a "foreign agent", using the Law on Registration of a Foreign Agent, noting that his firm worked for the Ukrainian political party in the period from 2012 to 2014.
